We are in the process of producing a weekly "Radio Show" for distribution on the Web.  We are going to need participation from all our Gadgetarian Friends.  Here's what we (Terry) have in mind...

Every Sunday afternoon we are going to produce a live, 1 hour program consisting of the following:

Two 14 minute segments and one 28 minute segment of live music and entertainment.  A kind of high class open stage, if you will.  Why, this doesn't add up to one hour, you say.  It will after we add some stuff, or not.  We need to start scheduling for the first show to start on October 1, 2000.  We need 3 acts per week to pull this off.  If you are interested in participating, in any way, contact Terry to get details and/or schedule a day for your performance.  This is a prime opportunity for you to get free recording time and whatever exposure we can give.  You at least get live recordings of your band.  But this does involve you and your skills.  There is a big picture here.  The Universe appreciates you painting yourself into it.  It is, after all a collective effort aimed at creating music, having fun and working toward success.  It will fall completely apart without active and enthusiastic participation by all parties.  We prefer you do not take this lightly.  If you commit to doing something then do it. The schedule is most important.  Please know your material before you get here.  We are going to record for 1 take only.  It will be a sonic photograph of that portion of time.  NO RETAKES for musical boofs!  You hit the wrong note, it's on the CD.  No Pressure here.  If you aren't ready by now, you never will be.

We will commit a great amount of energy to this, you must also.  If you have any talents in graphic design, audio engineering or any kind of artistic endeavor, please feel free to give a hand.

Production Schedule:

I know this is ambitious but, we need to make this a well oiled machine.  Think about it as a Live Concert Recording Situation with different bands.

All times are approximate but bear in mind, we need to strive to do this in the allotted time.

Sunday

Monday - Tuesday

Wednesday - Saturday

Saturday

Money Stuff:  (This isn't cast in stone, by the way.  Talk to me.)

We have a site to promote the music.  It's a mutual thing, no competition between you and us, we're partners.  If there's money, we share it equitably.

First, there is a $20.00 per band sign up fee due before taping starts.  For this you get a 15 or 30 minute recording session, one professionally produced CD with you on it and marketing and distribution through the Gadgetorium.  Your music will be produced and marketed for $20.00.  Also, you will be able to get CD's of just your music for an additional charge.

If you participate, you retain all ownership rights to your material.  You must give us the right to promote and sell the content that we produce.  We will pay you according to the following schedule.

1) Royalties ($1.00 to the band) for every CD we sell at $10.00

2) A commission of $3.00 (plus the $1.00 band royalty) for every CD  you sell at $10.00 each.  You get $4, we get $6.  We will have approximately $3 in production cost so we get actually $3 and you get $4.  We're doing the sales tax collection also.  The administration costs are substantial.

All sales must be processed through the Gadgetorium in order for the bands to get payment.  All sales outside the Gadgetorium are subject to a $2.00 production fee.  This means if you duplicate the CDs we still get something for production.  We will provide you with the audio and graphics files if you want to do it yourself.

Other :

The Sunday thing is a "bring your own" situation.  Food and drink are your responsibility.  That's not to say Pizza is out of the question.
