entire campus. Additional duties included writing test equipment controlling software used

software requirements.

Test Department Manager.

Duties included coordination of the activities of test department personnel involved in
testing the products of an electronics assembly line. This required giving technical
assistance in the repair of both the product and the testers used in the testing of it. Also,
new programs for some automated testers (Fairchild and Prodigy) were developed and/or
debugged as needed as well as some new tester design and implementation.

General Telephone Evaluation and Test Department.

Test Technician.

Performed destructive and non-destructive tests on electronic equipment submitted by
either vendors or General Telephone for evaluation of performance. This required the
construction and operation of automated and non-automated test beds then using them to
generate explicit data describing specifications, safety and durability of the products.
These data were then compiled, organized, written up and presented to the engineering
staff for their evaluation.

Field Service Technician.

Responsible for the installation, maintenance and operator training of analog and 

digital equipment used in seismic exploration. This required understanding various 

complex analog and digital devices and the ability to quickly troubleshoot them to 

the component level.  This position required some international travel.

Helped design, perform and interpret experiments aimed at determining the physio-chemical properties of cell

membrane transport in animal systems. This required an understanding of the research techniques and tools

employed in a modern biological research facility. Examples: radioisotope tagging, liquid scintillation detectors, 

electron microscopy, various chromatographic and spectroscopic testing methods, and biochemical solution 

preparation.
