Lead Programmer
The following projects were undertaken as a consultant and freelance programmer for various companies.
FOCUS SURGERY, INC. - Indianapolis, IN 02/ 2003
Coded both ends of a remote data collection system that collects billing information and transfers it, via FTP over the Internet, to a centralized location for processing. These two applications uses Visual Basic 6 interfaced to MS Access databases. Using my existing Visual Basic routines, this system was in beta test in 12 days.
PRODUCTIVITY TOOLBOX, Inc. - Indianapolis, IN 2000 - 2001
Designed and coded the IntelliGraph Application. This complex system decreases the labor involved in creating Johnson Controls' M-Graphics-based Graphical Interfaces by 50%. It was written in Visual Basic 6 and utilized COM, third party and personally developed ActiveX controls, FTP, MS Access databases and ODBC connections to MySQL databases on the Web.
DOWNEY INSURANCE, INC. - Kokomo, IN 2001
Completed a project that uses MS Access 97 connected, via ODBC, to a SQL Server database. The application extracts contact information from the SQL Server database and puts it into MS Exchange for remote use by the sales force. This required using the MS Outlook Object Model, COM, MS Outlook Form design and AT&T Laboratories'
Virtual Network Computing application for telecommuting.
REAL WORLD SOLUTIONS. - Indianapolis, IN 2001
Used MS Visual Studio, Visual Basic 6 and the MS Graph ActiveX control to provide Intranet-based graphs of electricity usage with data from the Johnson Controls Environmental Control System at Loyola College in Chicago.
REAL WORLD SOLUTIONS, INC. - Indianapolis, IN 2000 - 2001
Developed a complex system to enhance the functionality and user interface to Johnson Controls' Metalink DDE Server. This Visual Basic 6 application uses Farpoint's vaSpread ActiveX control, DDE, COM and MS Access databases.

I coded a variety of small projects for a number of companies in Visual Basic, MS Access 97 and MS Access 2000. I also used FrontPage 2000 to create a Web Site. Additionally, I did some audio recording projects for local bands.
